The Reading Housing Authority Waiting List is open to all individuals. It is a public housing waiting list for 0-BR apartments for 1-person households and 1-BR apartments for 2-person families who are elderly (age 62+) or have a disability, located in Rhodes, Eisenhower & Hubert Apartments, Kennedy & Franklin Towers, and Hensler Homes.

General Occupancy, 1-2-3-4 Bedroom units located in Glenside and Oakbrook Homes and 5-Bedroom units located in Oakbrook Homes only.

Applicant households must qualify for bedroom sizes (1-BR to 5-BR) based on an occupancy standard of 1 bedroom per 2 persons, with limited exceptions.

RHA uses a 1-offer policy, meaning that eligible individuals are not able to select a development, but will be offered the first unit for which they meet the criteria.

How to Apply for a Waiting List?

Applicants must apply online for the Reading Housing Authority waiting list through www.readingha.org. Paper applications will not be accepted here. Online applications must be submitted by midnight on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.

However, not all applications accepted here are expected to be placed on the waiting list. If the number of applications received is more the 12 months of estimated unit availability, a lottery-based selection process will be implemented for RHA applications. Therefore, not all applicants may be waitlisted. Applicants must qualify as per RHA admissions and continuous occupancy policy.
