East Point Housing Authority Application: How to Apply Waiting list for Section 8

East Point Housing Authority is committed to providing affordable housing opportunities to residents of East Point and surrounding communities in Fulton County. The mission of the East Point Housing Authority is to provide and encourage the development of quality affordable housing for low-income households and individuals.

EPHA offers a public housing program and a Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8). An eligible applicant can apply for East Point Housing Authority Application, Waiting list, and Section 8.

EPHA Public Housing

EPHA Public Housing is designed to provide decent and safe rental housing for low and moderate-income families, elderly or seniors, and individuals with disabilities. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) provides federal assistance to local housing agencies to provide rental housing for eligible residents they can afford.

Eligibility requirements

  • If you are a resident of the United States you can qualify for the public housing program.
  • Your income level must meet the “Income Guidelines” such as Very Low 50% Income Limits, or Extremely Low Income Limits and Low 80% Income Limits, depending on the person of the family.
  • The applicant’s background must be free from drug use/abuse and alcohol abuse.
  • You will be eligible if you are already a resident of EPHA or another housing authority. But you should not have any dues in that program.

How Do I Apply For Public Housing?

To apply for the Public Housing Program, Go to the management office for the development to request an application, or visit the East Point Housing Authority (EPHA) to request an application for the public housing program.

Once you submit the application form, you can check your application status online, via email and phone.

Public Housing Waiting List

EPHA waiting list is currently closed. it utilizes site-based waiting lists. For public housing, you can apply to the Development Management Office. Also, visit the official website to check waiting list is open and if applications are being accepted.

However, the EPHA website provides public information through the official website as to when the waiting list will open. In addition, it advertises notices in local newspapers, in its central office building, and in EPHA’s public housing developments.

Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section8)

The East Point Housing Authority also provides the Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8), which is a federal funded program for helping very low-income households or individuals, the elderly, and the disabled to afford good, safe, and sanitary housing in the private market.
