The Zuni Housing Authority (ZHA) has announced the Homeowner Assistance Fund (HAF) to provide financial assistance to Zuni tribal members and their families.

The Homeownership Assistance Fund (HAF) covers all Zuni Tribal members as well as non-members with spouses or dependents who are experiencing financial hardships due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, this Homeownership Assistance Fund program is open to eligible applicants living anywhere in the United States.

Zuni Housing Authority Homeowner Assistance Fund Eligibility Requirements:

To get the ZHA Homeownership Assistance fund, you must meet with the eligibility criteria.

  • Applicants must be a residents of the USA.
  • Age must be 18 years old or Older to qualify for the Homeownership fund.
  • The applicant is facing a financial crisis during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
  • Applicants must demonstrate proof of homeownership.
  • Must live in the house for which assistance is being requested.
  • Household income must not exceed 150% of the area median income, or not exceed 100% of the United States median income.

Required Documents for Homeowner Assistance Fund

To apply for Homeowner Assistance Fund you must provide some required documents.

  • State Photo ID,
  • Social Security Card,
  • Tribal Census Card*(If applicable),
  • Statement on how COVID-19 affected you and/or your family and how caused financial hardship.
  • Proof of or Self-attestation that the home is requiring assistance.
  • Proof of Homeownership such as – Land Documents (Transfer of Possessory Interest, Quit Claim Deed/Title, and Certified Survey Plat.)

All Household Income Documents: such as

  • Income Tax Documents
  • Check Stubs (4 most recent)
  • Self-employment Record(s)
  • 2023 Award Letter(s) (SSI, TANF/GA)/Personal wage records
